About Me: I was a "military brat" with a dad in the Air Force, so I spent my childhood with the expectation that "home" would be changing every three to four years. Whenever someone asked where I was from, I always had to respond with, "Well, I'm not really from anywhere, but I live in [fill in current city here]." I chose to pursue my college education at Dakota State University in Madison, SD. However, I decided to commute to college from Howard, since my mom grew up here and had recently moved back, and I had lots of other family in the area as well. It actually started out as a temporary move, but once I got settled here, it was hard to imagine living anywhere else! So I'm proud to say that I now consider Howard my official "hometown."

My husband, Rob, and I purchased our first home right here in Howard two years ago. He works as a Quality Control Technician for Knight & Carver. We are the proud parents of two wonderful boys, ages 7 and 6 months.

I'm the newest addition to the Rural Learning Center (I started in October of 2009) and I love the fact that I'm working for an organization that is dedicated to keeping Miner County a great place to live and work. It is my hope that when my boys are looking for jobs after high school or college, Miner County will be able to provide them.
