About Me: I was a "military brat" with a dad in the Air Force, so I spent my childhood with the expectation that "home" would be changing every three to four years. Whenever someone asked where I was from, I always had to respond with, "Well, I'm not really from anywhere, but I live in [fill in current city here]." I chose to pursue my college education at Dakota State University in Madison, SD. However, I decided to commute to college from Howard, since my mom grew up here and had recently moved back, and I had lots of other family in the area as well. It actually started out as a temporary move, but once I got settled here, it was hard to imagine living anywhere else! So I'm proud to say that I now consider Howard my official "hometown."

My husband, Rob, and I purchased our first home right here in Howard. He currently works as a Wind Blade Technician for a company called Upwind Solutions, Inc. (formerly Knight & Carver's service crew). We are the proud parents of two wonderful little boys, who are growing up faster than we'd like.

I love working for an organization that helps makes rural life a viable option for young and old alike. I've lived life as a city girl, but I've got to say that small town life just feels so much more rewarding!
